I have 2018 Honda getting code p0304 I changed spark plug still getting a misfire can it be injectors?
man how do you fish that hard line back in there? from the bottom or the top? i can't get that thing in without bending it xD
Hey bro I have the same problem but when I start the engine the air compressor is making noise,,, do I should be change the air compressor or the clutch? Thanks
what wheel bearing assembly did you go with? what brand since it looks to be non oem, and how has it held up so far, given you did this a couple years ago. thanks!!
This was National brand. No issues. The only aftermarket wheel bearings I would recommend is Moog, National, or Timken
this is so funny, I actually just order that top part for my fuel pump, but not because I wanted to change the filter, but because the plastic was cracking and gas fumes were escaping into the cabin. anyways, I got the top part on ebay, but mine didnt include those O-rings your kits came with. I wonder where I would be able to get those or where I could find the part numbers for those. honda is a real bitch trying to get little things related to the fuel pump, hence why i had to go aftermarket for the top piece. anyways, I doubt u know about those O rings since it came in a kit. could you point me in the direction on where you bought the whole kit, maybe the part number of the kit? I can return the one i got that didnt have the rings and order the one you got. thanks for any help!
BECK/ARNLEY 0433012 bought from rockauto.com
I just did this on my 08 v6. Thank you for making this job a whole lot easier. I appreciate it greatly.
Glad it helped.
Ive been having a lot of misfires ive changed the ignition coils but could it be the injectors or the injector fuel system
I will believe anything a person says about trucks if they talk like this.
U a real 1 fo dat
Where did you buy the parts ?
I saw your vide and want to thank you! Showing step by step how to replace the magnetic clutch. Is it the same process/technique for a 2016 Tacoma SR5?
Maybe not identical but probably similar.
Good video bro. Straight to the point and good explanations and directives.
Glad it helped
you check the mass air flow sensor?
There was no need to in this scenerio.
You make it look easy. Mine is a 2001 Tacoma but should be the same procedure, thanks!
I'm having the same issue on my '04 V6!
Thank you sir!
Fuel injectors are discontinued NEW FUEL INJECTOR PART# 16453-5r1-j00 Verified on website
If the clutch is bad is there potential for anything to seize while driving and cause catatonic engine failure? I have other things to work on and would ignore this for awhile if I can. Thanks dude great video
It depends on what part is failing. If its just the magnetic coil, then the ac just simply wont work. But sometimes the bearing in the cluth fails and the clutch can come apart leaving you stranded.
@@ballsoutperformance Thanks dude appreciate ya!
When my ac compressor seized it wouldn't allow the starter to turn the engine over, until jumping it I managed to shred the belt before realizing the compressor was seized. No damage, but could leave you stranded .
@@Dan-yk6sy sounds good. Ive kept it parked, the ac clutch was backorders but finally on its way. When the belt broke on my Xterra it totaled the engine. So def don't want to ruin anything, the tacoma is my baby haha.
Are you in Houston area?
North carolina
Is there any way we can get a copy of those instructions you was going by?
Unfortunately, I no longer have access to that service.
Hi thanks for the awesome video. I had my struts replaced about a year ago with some RockAuto Monroe (172185/172186) quickstruts. The ride quality seems to be getting progressively worse (I feel the road too much) and lately it seems that I’m bottoming out, but only on the front right side. It’s difficult to re-create the problem as it only happens when I hit a certain type of bump (ridge?) on the right side. If both wheels are going over the bump it won’t happen. It actually sounds like I’m getting hit by a hammer on the undercarriage. It’s hard to explain but it’s startling. Anyway my question is, is it possible I could have an improperly fitted or installed strut on that side? What else could be going on?
Also too, I’m reading that people generally say Monroe struts are garbage for the Civic (mine 2005 EX) and that I should’ve got the KYB G struts. Does it matter what brand struts I have in here? Oh yeah and also my Civic has 300k on it and all we’ve done so far on the front end is tires, struts, tie-rod ends, rack and axles.
It hard to say exactly what it is. Based on what you have changed, i would check the lower control arm bushings for play, thats what was worn and noisy on mine. As for the monroe struts, i cant comment, ive never installed them on any of my personal vehicles. I have used kyb with good success. I would check those lower control arm bushings and go from there. I would then check for loose play at the top of the strut where it bolts to the chassis. The upper strut mount or as I call it the "top hat". Sometimes that can get worn and get play over time causing movement and noise.
Thank you very much I will check that out. I don’t know what I’m doing but your video really helped me a lot.
Glad to help!
Do u have to replace the sparkplugs as well when u do this job? I just replaced my spark plugs abt 2-3 days ago and i dont wana have to buy another whole new set
You dont have to. I did because they were oem plugs and the car had been experiencing a rich condition. If you just changed yours then theres no need to do so again
@@ballsoutperformance bet thank u man. Do u think my injectors are bad? My cars a 2021 1.5t with 23k miles but shes running weird rn n having an the symptoms of bad injectors
I cant say. Get it checked out by a reputable shop familiar with hondas.
@@ballsoutperformance thanks man
You could Wrap the rest of the Car to match the roof tho
I think ima just rock it as is. Can always change it later
God Job
Is the passenger side the same procedure? I have a 2014 that ill be doing
No. Unfortunately, the passenger side is a lot more involved
@@ballsoutperformance that's what it looks like. We have a Tahoe in my Ford dealership shop in Norway. I'll have to look it up on Auto Data
Dude I just had the same problem with that one bolt lol
Have that Issue on my New 23-24 Honda Accord Hybrid, All New Crv Hybrids have it too.. Supposably has to do with Capless Fuel tank , Dirt enters the tank when you insert the fuel pump, dirt accumulates in the tank and the fuel filter doesn’t catch most of the dirt. It later travels into fuel injectors leaving them stuck open.. High Recommend Dropping and Cleaning the Fuel Tank and Changing the Fuel Filter when you change the Injectors
Great job…love it!
Every time you said lovely assistant I cracked up 😂 thanks for the video.
Nice video I thought my issue was whole Compressor until I watched this.. and Since I didn’t hear yah Cuss once I’m gonna give it a try
I edited out the cussing. Jk. Its not bad
Ha’ i knew it Even with your southern charm I expect a lil’ f
Hey I’m actually looking for good snap ring plier set now Any suggestions?
The icon set from harbor freight is a good value
Awesome video! Pretty sure my girls civic has a bad control arm.
Would a fuel injector throw a P219F code.? Or would anybody know what does the code actually mean… thanks 🙏🏼
Do you have the link to the replacment part? Looking in google just keeps giving me covers that are $70. Im pretty sure they are not them. Thanks.
Buy from your local dealer. If you buy online, shipping will probably be a small fortune.
Dang ole leaf springs
does this apply on honda hrv 2020?
Do you have any suggestions on what to do if that shaft does not want to come out?
Slide hammer
Great video!! Thanks a lot!
I'm wondering if you can help me out I replace the clutch and pulley but now the pulley is not spinning continuously it spins randomly Altogether And then it just stops And the belt just slips on the pulley do you think the spacing with the shims isn't enough?
I sure thank you for this video. I had never changed out a compressor clutch and this helped tremendously. When I removed the bolt, my compressor was seized on but after a little PB blaster, I was able to grab it with a filter wrench and coax it off finally. I did remove my radiator shroud and fan but it wasn’t really necessary. Thanks again for this video. It saved me a ton of money!
Glad it helped
Have just finished doing this repair on my Civic defineitly worth replacing this Oring as when it's worn out you will loose alot of oil and it makes a big mess this was also running down in to my gearbox and causing my clutch to slip now that it's replaced and and cleaned up no more clutch issues
💯👍
There were issues with my clutch on a Honda Jazz and the mechanic just found this same seal leaking oil, hopefully the clutch issue gets sorted when the seal is replaced.
@bonneyferns Hopefully it solves your problem been driving my Civic for about a week now after doing this repair and all is good
Did you keep the original passenger side airbag cover? It matches the new dash well?
Yes and yes
Thanks for the video. Big help. I got my clutch off eBay for less than $50. I will say this job is doable with patience. However, borrow or invest in HIGH quality snap ring pliers. I used the straight pliers and able to maneuver handles into fan housing to access rings straight on. Thanks again.
Do you have to remove the whole steering assembly so get clearance to access the lower control arm nuts?
thank you for the video. you helped me a lot
pretty sure my drier was double sealed thats why i have a leak sprayed soapy water and thats where it was bubbling
what is the size of the bolt connected to the metal fuel line? 10mm?
Did you have to cut into the cab?
No
I have a 2020 1.5 turbo I noticed on a cold start the card would vibrate for a few second and now all my warning lights are on. I believe I'm having the same issue please help
That could be anything could be bad fuel, clogged injectors or the battery needs replaced the new Honda engine as are so dependent on the 12v batteries having a good charge if the voltage is dropping it can set off many bells and whistles, you really need to plug in an OBD scanner to see if any codes are stored on the computer that will give you a fair idea, I service Hondas and Toyotas for a living, it could be something that simple, usually is. Worst case scenario Carbon fouling on the inlet valves or injectors, but would usually need to be a high mileage for that to happen or a poorly serviced car.
What happened to the crown vic from a couple years ago?
Started on a full repaint. Got most of the bodywork done, then life happened. Its been sitting for a while.
I thought GM stopped making these cause of the law suits cause of the cracking. did demand make them start producing them again? if you do this in the future, I would take the steering column plastics off, it isn't that hard, I have done it
Im not sure about that. They are still available from the dealer which is where this one was obtained.
Doo Dat!!
Thank you for this video. I'm having this same issue of engine struggling on a cold start, and misfires. I've changed plugs, coils, cleaned MAF and throttle body, changed oil, added injector cleaner to my fuel, and the issue persists. At this point, I'm 95% positive it's faulty fuel injectors.
Probably so
